Students protest over nursing student's death at KGMU, demand justice
On Monday, hundreds of students surrounded the nursing department at King George's Medical University (KGMU) in Lucknow after Divyanshi Yadav, a nursing student of the 2025 batch, died. The protesting students raised slogans of "We Want Justice" and demanded justice.
The students allege that Divyanshi's health was seriously deteriorating, but the college administration refused to grant her leave. According to the students, she died because she did not receive timely rest and medical assistance. The incident has created a state of tension in the university.
