Korean Tourist's Attempt to Board Mumbai Local Train Ends in Taxi Ride

A South Korean tourist named Sejin documented his first experience attempting to use Mumbai's iconic local train system in an Instagram video. Starting at Thane station, he purchased a two-hour round-trip ticket for ₹170 but struggled to navigate the crowded platform and board the train.
During his first attempt, commuters quickly gathered and boarded as the train arrived, catching Sejin off guard. He made an initial effort to board but moved away from the entrance as the rush intensified. After waiting for another train and making a second unsuccessful attempt, Sejin decided to abandon the plan and take a taxi instead.
Reflecting on the experience, Sejin said it made him "deeply respect the people here" for their ability to navigate Mumbai's fast-paced commuter culture. Though he did not complete the local train journey, the attempt gave him insight into the unique rhythm of the city's suburban railway network.
