Kerala State Electricity Board Upgrades Testing Labs for Smart Meter Rollout

The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) is strengthening its testing and metering laboratories as part of its Smart Metering Project implementation. Under Phase-1, the board plans to install 3 lakh smart meters across its distribution network.

The infrastructure upgrades aim to ensure quality control and proper calibration of smart meters before deployment. This forms part of KSEB's broader digitalization initiative to modernize electricity distribution and improve billing efficiency.
