KSU demands verification of Noklak road works before contractor payments

The Khiamniungan Students' Union (KSU) has demanded that no machinery be removed from road construction sites in Noklak district and no substantial or final payments be released to contractors until concerns raised in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly are properly examined and works physically verified.
KSU called for a halt to all machinery movement without prior intimation and proper justification. The union also demanded that contractor payments be withheld until works undergo physical verification and certification, with KSU informed before any payments are released.
Verification should cover actual physical progress, quality of works, compliance with technical specifications, and contractual obligations. KSU stressed that work should not be certified solely on departmental records or contractor claims without on-site inspection, and public funds should be released only after prescribed verification and approval processes are completed.
