Several BJP alliance MLAs in touch with SP for Rajya Sabha polls: Akhilesh

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav claimed that several BJP alliance MLAs are in contact with the SP regarding the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections. He stated the party would focus on winnability while maintaining its alliance strategy for future assembly polls.

Yadav defended the SP's nomination of industrialist Dhanraj Parimal Nathwani, saying the party aims to strengthen ties with the industrial sector. He asserted that the party would pursue a balanced approach in candidate selection for the upper house elections.

The SP chief also promised that pending payments to sugarcane growers would be cleared promptly, addressing a key issue for farmers in the state. These statements reflect the party's broader electoral positioning ahead of the Rajya Sabha elections.
