Ladakh Marathon turns 20 PET bottles into race bibs to fight plastic waste

The Ladakh Marathon is tackling plastic waste by converting 20 discarded PET bottles into each race bib distributed to participants. The initiative aims to raise environmental consciousness among young runners while demonstrating practical recycling methods.
By integrating sustainability into the marathon experience, organisers are sending a message about the importance of reducing plastic consumption. The effort connects athletic participation with environmental responsibility, turning a sporting event into a platform for ecological awareness in Ladakh.
