Lalbaugcha Raja's prasad waste to power hospital biomethanation plants

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation announced that wet waste from the prasad community kitchen of Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal will be transported to biomethanation plants across four major Mumbai hospitals.
The waste will be segregated at source before being sent to Nair Hospital, Kasturba Hospital, GTB Hospital, and Sion Hospital, according to a BMC statement released on Friday. The initiative aims to convert the organic waste into biogas for hospital energy needs.
