Lenskart Shares Fall 2% After ₹2,468 Crore Block Deal
Eyewear retailer Lenskart Solutions saw its shares slip more than 2% in early trading Monday following a significant block deal worth ₹2,468 crore. Around 3.6 crore shares, representing 2.07% of the company's total equity, were exchanged at ₹688 per share. The floor price was approximately 3.5% lower than Lenskart's previous closing price, with shares subject to a 90-day lock-in period.
Despite Monday's decline, Lenskart has delivered strong returns in 2026, rising 57.5% compared with a 10.7% fall in the Nifty 50 index. The company's market capitalisation stood at nearly ₹1.2 lakh crore. The deal follows multiple large-scale share transactions in August by investors including Alpha Wave Ventures and SVF II Lightbulb.
Lenskart's strong financial performance supports the stock's trajectory. In Q1 FY27, net profit surged to ₹222 crore from ₹60 crore year-on-year, while revenue grew 43.3% to ₹2,714.2 crore. EBITDA margin expanded to 21.7% from 17.7%, demonstrating improving profitability metrics.
