Lucknow to host Regional Meteorological Centre as India expands weather radar network

Lucknow will be home to a new Regional Meteorological Centre as part of India's broader infrastructure expansion for weather monitoring and forecasting. The centre is expected to enhance meteorological services across the region.

The government is simultaneously advancing Mission Mausam, an initiative aimed at deploying 100 weather radars across the country. This expansion is designed to strengthen India's weather prediction capabilities and improve disaster preparedness.
