Madhya Bharat Factory Resumes Operations After 18-Day Pollution Closure

The Madhya Bharat Private Limited unit manufacturing Single Super Phosphate in Meghnagar resumed operations on Wednesday, 18 days after being sealed on September 4 over pollution concerns.
Meghnagar SDM Avanti Pradhan ordered the reopening after reviewing a Pollution Control Board report and an affidavit from factory management. The board found no discharge of polluted water from the unit. The company committed to improve housekeeping and comply with environmental standards.
Under an agreement, the company will undertake corporate social responsibility work in Fatehpur village, including school maintenance, water facilities, and road improvements. The administration will conduct periodic inspections, with action promised if future violations occur.
