Madhya Pradesh to Offer 10% Quota to Agniveers in Police, Forest, Jail Jobs

The Madhya Pradesh government will provide up to 10% reservation to Agniveers in state uniformed services including police, jail, forest, excise and transport departments. The quota will apply to Agniveers who are MP natives and have completed their four-year service tenure with the Indian Armed Forces.
To implement this reservation, existing quotas for Home Guards and ex-servicemen will be adjusted. In police general constable posts, Home Guards reservation will drop from 15% to 10%, ex-servicemen from 10% to 7.5%, with Agniveers receiving 7.5%. For SAF and excise constables, a separate 10% Agnieer quota will be created without reducing other allocations. Jail and forest guard posts will see Home Guards quota reduced from 30% to 20%, with 10% for Agniveers.
The first Agnieer batch will complete their four-year tenure between December 2026 and January 2027. The state plans recruitment drives in January-February, coinciding with the constitution of the proposed Police Recruitment Board for Madhya Pradesh.
