Madhya Pradesh to Set Up Cybersecurity Research Centre in Mhow

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced the establishment of a Cybersecurity Research Centre in Mhow during a state-level consultative workshop on Monday. The centre will be developed in collaboration with the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering and academic institutions to strengthen cybersecurity research, innovation and skill development.
Yadav said the centre would enhance the state's capacity to identify and monitor cybercrimes through modern security systems. He emphasized this as a concrete step toward predictive security and continuous vigilance rather than a symbolic measure.
The state is bolstering its cybersecurity infrastructure through MP-CERT, the Security Operations Centre at the State Data Centre, and the secure State Wide Area Network. Managing Director of MPSEDC Ashish Vashishtha noted that over 1,700 government services are currently delivered digitally to citizens across the state.
