Over 1,000 Madhya Pradesh Guest Teachers Await ₹3 Crore in Unpaid Honorarium Over E-Attendance Glitch

The Madhya Pradesh Guest Teachers' Association has raised alarm over unpaid honorarium affecting more than 1,000 guest teachers across the state. Despite their attendance being regularly recorded in offline school registers, the teachers have not received their September and October payments, totaling approximately ₹3 crore based on an average monthly honorarium of ₹15,000.
The association highlighted a disparity in treatment: regular teachers received their salaries without mandatory e-attendance requirements, while guest teachers' honorarium was withheld solely due to missing digital attendance records. State Secretary Ravikant Gupta has demanded immediate release of the pending payments and urged the government to implement a permanent system validating offline attendance to prevent future disruptions.
