Eight Madhya Pradesh IAS Officers Stuck in Limbo Over Central Deputation Approvals

Eight IAS officers from Madhya Pradesh are awaiting clearance from the state government to pursue central deputation, a delay that has stretched for several months. Officers including Manish Singh (1997 batch), Abhijeet Agarwal (2010 batch), and others have either applied or expressed willingness to move to central postings but cannot formally apply without the required No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the state.
The delay is affecting career prospects, particularly for those eyeing joint secretary positions at the centre. Amanbeer Singh, selected for the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, remains unable to take up the position due to the missing NOC. Meanwhile, only two officers secured central deputation this year, while two others were not taken up by the centre despite receiving state approval.
