Madhya Pradesh Records 88.7% Of Seasonal Rainfall; More Rain Expected By Late September

Madhya Pradesh has accumulated 33.1 inches of rainfall during the current monsoon season, reaching 88.7% of its seasonal target of 37.3 inches. Twenty-three districts across the state have recorded normal or above-normal rainfall levels.
The India Meteorological Department has forecast another spell of rain in the last week of September before the monsoon officially withdraws on September 30. The IMD said no alerts for very heavy or heavy rainfall have been issued for Madhya Pradesh until September 20, though some districts may experience heavy rain from local weather systems. Rainfall activity is expected to increase again after September 21 as cyclonic circulation and low-pressure systems may become active.
