Datia Transport Inspector Found Dead in Bhopal; Man Discovered Hanging Nearby

A transport inspector posted at Datia RTO office, Meenakshi Gokhale, was found dead in a hall at Lake Pearl Colony in Bhopal with severe head injuries. A blood-stained hammer was recovered near her body. About 20 metres from the house, a man identified as Pawan Dwivedi was found hanging from a tree.

A witness, Kritika, told police she heard Meenakshi and Pawan arguing loudly at 1:30 am on Monday. She discovered Meenakshi's body after waking at 5:30 am and alerted police. Meenakshi's family alleged that Pawan was pressurising her for marriage. Police are investigating their relationship and the frequent disputes between the two as key leads in the case.
