Maharashtra Approves Upper Tehsildar Office at Neknoor in Beed After 27-Year Wait

The Maharashtra government has officially sanctioned an Upper Tehsildar office at Neknoor in Beed tehsil on September 22, addressing a longstanding demand of local residents. The new office will handle revenue-related matters for five circles—Neknoor, Yelambghat, Manjarsumbha, Chausala and Limbaganesh—reducing the need for citizens to travel to Beed for administrative work.
The approval follows persistent advocacy by Kaij MLA Namita Mundada. Election-related work and certain welfare schemes will remain under the original Beed Tehsil office. The administration has been directed to establish temporary premises immediately and identify a permanent site.
