Mahavitaran Director Urges Students to Be 'Safety Ambassadors' for Electricity Awareness

Mahavitaran Director (Human Resources) Rajendra Pawar urged school and college students to strictly adhere to electricity safety rules and act as ambassadors to spread awareness about electrical hazards. Speaking at an Energy Awareness programme at G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering and Management in Jalgaon, Pawar emphasised that while material losses can be recovered, human lives cannot be restored once lost.
Pawar highlighted that electricity consumption has risen significantly in modern times, but negligence-related accidents remain a serious concern. He called on students to convey the importance of safety rules to their families, relatives and friends. The director also urged adoption of green energy to maintain environmental balance and reduce carbon emissions from thermal power plants.
Mahavitaran is conducting a fortnight-long Energy Awareness Campaign across Maharashtra, with senior officials and engineers visiting schools and colleges as part of a social responsibility initiative coinciding with Engineers' Day and Ganeshotsav.
