Goa CEO clarifies on 97 voters excluded from electoral rolls

The Chief Electoral Officer of Goa has clarified the exclusion of 97 voters from electoral rolls, stating that many were successfully registered after follow-up house visits. The individuals were flagged during the Special Intensive Revision process due to reported discrepancies.
The incident has raised questions about the reliability of the Election Commission's ECINet software and electoral registration procedures. Opposition parties have criticised the centralised approach to voter registration, citing concerns over potential disenfranchisement.
