Man loses ₹91,000 in online dry fruit scam in Indore

A man identified as Gurvinder was defrauded of ₹91,000 by cyber scammers in Indore's Kanadiya police station area. He had ordered figs and almonds online and paid ₹1,500 for the purchase. Shortly after, he received a call from an unknown number claiming to be the dry fruit seller.
The fraudster convinced Gurvinder that his payment method needed to be changed for a refund. The scammer sent him a link claiming it would transfer just ₹1. However, upon clicking the link, ₹91,000 was deducted from his bank account without authorization.
After discovering the fraud, Gurvinder filed a complaint with the cyber helpline portal and the Kanadiya police station. Authorities are investigating the matter.
