Micro-fertilisers body seeks regulatory ease, single licence framework

The Indian Micro-fertilisers Manufacturers Association (IMMA) has sought regulatory reforms to ease operations in the sector. At a roundtable with government officials, the association pushed for a unified licensing framework under 'One Nation, One Licence' to simplify compliance.
IMMA also called for rationalisation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) on micronutrients and specialty fertilisers to reduce costs and improve competitiveness. The association emphasised enabling exports of these products to strengthen the industry's global presence and boost manufacturing capacity.
