Mizoram electoral rolls finalised at 8.35 lakh after claims period

Mizoram's final electoral rolls have been finalised at 8,35,869 electors, according to Chief Electoral Officer Garima Gupta. The draft rolls published on July 4 contained 8,28,906 names. During the claims and objections period ending September 2, a net increase of 6,963 electors was recorded, representing a 0.84 per cent rise.

The revision process saw 32,280 names removed and 39,243 new voters added to the rolls. These changes reflect corrections and additions made during the statutory period when citizens could file claims and raise objections to the electoral data.
