Mobile Phone Makers Seek 13% GST Cut Amid Falling Demand and Rising Costs

Mobile phone manufacturers have sought a cut in GST rates as the sector grapples with weak domestic demand and elevated input costs. The manufacturers noted that while production and exports have grown, domestic demand has not kept pace. Rising memory chip prices have further pressured margins in an already competitive market.
