Mohan Yadav Inaugurates ₹200-Crore Samakota Barrage in Ujjain

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated the Samakota Barrage in Ujjain on Wednesday, a ₹200-crore project built on the Chhoti Kalisindh river. The barrage will provide irrigation facilities to over 11,000 farmer families across 18 villages and can store 17.57 million cubic meters of water, enabling irrigation for 7,236 hectares of agricultural land through a pipeline system.
The CM also inaugurated additional development projects worth ₹19 crore, including college and school buildings, electrical substations, and health centres. In total, projects valued at approximately ₹207 crore were dedicated to the public. At the event, Yadav criticized the Congress party, accusing members of making unfounded claims about government welfare schemes.
