Monarch Surveyors wins ₹51.20 crore Southern Railway infrastructure contract

Monarch Surveyors and Engineering Consultants Limited has secured a ₹51.20 crore contract from Southern Railway for infrastructure development work. The order was awarded on October 17, 2026, under the jurisdiction of the Chief Administrative Officer/Construction at Southern Railway's Egmore office in Chennai.

The contract scope includes conducting traffic surveys, final location surveys, and preparing Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for new broad gauge line construction, track doubling, and multi-tracking projects across the Southern Railway network. The assignment is designed to support railway capacity enhancement and infrastructure expansion initiatives.

The work is scheduled for completion within 36 months from the date of the Letter of Acceptance, subject to necessary government approvals. Sunil Kokare, Director – Business at Monarch Surveyors, said the order strengthens the company's order book and will leverage its technical expertise in railway engineering consultancy. Monarch Surveyors, founded in 1999 and publicly listed, provides infrastructure consulting services including DPRs, urban development planning, and geospatial mapping.
