₹1 Crore Illicit Liquor Seized in Indore Within 48 Hours; 500 Boxes Latest Haul

The Madhya Pradesh State Excise Department seized 500 boxes of illicit liquor valued at ₹45 lakh from a stationary mini truck in Indore's Palda Industrial Area on Saturday. The operation, conducted on a tip-off under orders from Collector Shivam Verma and Deputy Controller Manoj Agrawal, targeted a suspicious vehicle parked near Dev Nagar. The haul consisted of Pariis Rose Premium Whisky in 180ml bottles, believed destined for Gujarat. A manhunt is underway for the absconding driver.
This marks Indore's second major bootlegging operation in 48 hours. On Thursday night, excise teams intercepted a container truck on the Bypass Road and recovered illicit liquor worth ₹55 lakh. Officials expect the driver's interrogation to reveal details about manufacturing sources, transport networks, and syndicate operations.
