MP Deputy CM's OSD removed after ₹1 crore liquor bribe allegations

Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda, who also holds the state excise portfolio, ordered the removal of his Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Deepam Raichura on Friday. The action came after allegations surfaced that Raichura had accepted a liquor bribe worth ₹1 crore.
In a statement, Devda clarified that Raichura was not serving as his OSD at the time he allegedly accepted the bribe, seeking to distance himself from the matter.
The removal comes amid scrutiny over the handling of excise-related matters in the state. The incident underscores ongoing concerns about corruption and regulatory compliance within the state's alcohol administration.
