Over 7,500 Meritorious Students To Receive Scooters Under MP Scooty Yojana on September 16

More than 7,500 meritorious students in Madhya Pradesh will receive scooters under the state government's Scooty Yojana on September 16. The state has allocated approximately ₹200 crore for the scheme. The distribution event was initially scheduled for September 11 but was postponed to September 16.

Students who secure 70% or more marks in Class 12 are eligible under current rules. The government provides financial assistance ranging from ₹1 lakh to ₹1.25 lakh to purchase either electric or petrol scooters. Officials noted a shift in student preference this year, with more opting for e-scooters compared to petrol models, reversing the traditional trend.
