Mumbai BMC to offer free BEST bus rides for disabled passengers

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has approved a scheme to offer free rides on BEST buses for disabled passengers. The civic authority has allocated ₹7.64 crore towards covering the lost fare revenue from this initiative.

The move aims to improve mobility and accessibility for persons with disabilities across Mumbai's public transport network. The scheme will enable eligible disabled passengers to travel without paying fares on the BEST bus service.
