Mumbai City FC Settles Stadium Rent with BMC at Rs 12.5 Lakh per Game

Mumbai City FC has reached a settlement with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation on stadium rental fees for using the Mumbai Football Arena at Andheri Sports Complex. The revised rent stands at approximately Rs 12.5 lakh per game, a 25% increase from Rs 10 lakh two seasons ago—substantially lower than the initially proposed 250% hike.
The BMC had initially demanded Rs 15 lakh per game before negotiations brought the figure down to Rs 12.5 lakh. This agreement allows the club to retain their home venue without bearing the steep costs that were originally proposed.
However, access to the ground remains delayed until end-October due to an MLBx event scheduled for October 24. As a result, Mumbai City will begin their ISL campaign with three consecutive away matches before hosting their first home game against Sporting Club Delhi on November 1.
