Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations Begin Across Madhya Pradesh With Processions and Pandals
Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations commenced across multiple towns in Madhya Pradesh with traditional fervour. In Neemuch, idols were installed in homes and public pandals while processions featuring drums, DJs and chants of 'Ganpati Bappa Morya' filled streets. Devotees gathered at palace-like pandals decorated with colourful lights.
Across other cities including Alot, Jhabua, Bakaner and Pansemal, similar rituals unfolded with installation ceremonies at temples and municipal premises. Special prayers, arti ceremonies, tableaux and prasad distribution were organised. Around 48 pandals were set up in Pansemal alone, with clay idols featuring themes like the Ayodhya temple and Jyotirlingas.
The 10-day Ganeshotsav festival will continue across urban and rural areas with ongoing religious and cultural programmes, including bhajan-kirtan and prasad distribution. Community leaders urged devotees to choose eco-friendly idols for the celebrations.
