Naga Prayer Summit 2026 called to address church, political challenges

The Naga Prayer Summit 2026 has been announced for 10–11 November at Lotha Baptist Church, Dimapur, under the theme "Oneness in Christ." Church leaders have issued an appeal to pastors and believers to participate in what they describe as a solemn call to seek God's guidance during a critical period.
Organizers cite multiple pressing concerns facing the Naga people and church, including threats to religious freedom amid changing political conditions in India, prolonged political uncertainty regarding Naga aspirations, and tribal and regional divisions threatening societal unity. They also highlight moral and social deterioration, including corruption, violence, substance abuse, and family breakdown.
Church leaders emphasize that challenges facing the Naga community—spanning spiritual complacency, generational concerns among youth, and institutional weaknesses—require sustained prayer and intercession rather than reliance solely on political strategies or human wisdom.
