Nagaland creates 38 new polling stations ahead of elections

The Chief Electoral Officer of Nagaland announced the creation of 38 new polling stations as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls (Phase-III), bringing the state's total to 2,399.
The exercise involved rationalisation of polling stations across all 60 assembly constituencies. Based on house-to-house enumeration by booth-level officers, the Election Commission identified all polling stations with more than 1,200 electors for rationalisation.
District election officers made recommendations in consultation with political parties, which were subsequently approved by the Election Commission of India.
