Nagaland publishes draft electoral rolls for 2026 elections

The Draft Electoral Roll 2026 under Special Intensive Revision was published across Nagaland districts on September 20. District election officers distributed copies to recognised political parties and urged citizens to scrutinise entries for accuracy.

District-wise, Dimapur recorded 89,074 electors, Mokokchung identified 1,56,302 electors with 7,900 uncollectable entries, and Tseminyu recorded 23,104 electors including service voters. All districts achieved near or complete coverage of enumeration forms during the revision exercise.

Citizens have until October 20 to verify their particulars and file claims or objections. Officials emphasised the importance of stakeholder cooperation to ensure the electoral roll's accuracy before final publication.
