Nagaland signs agreement for first private solar plant

Nagaland has entered into an agreement for its first private-sector solar power plant. The 20 megawatt solar facility will be built at Tizit and is expected to help the state reduce its dependence on energy imports.
The project marks a significant step toward renewable energy development in the northeastern state. Once operational, the plant is anticipated to contribute substantially to Nagaland's power generation capacity and support the state's energy security goals.
