NASSCOM seeks GST structural changes for inter-office service transactions

Industry body NASSCOM has called for structural rationalisation of GST norms governing transactions between head offices and branch establishments. The organisation has asked for deletion of a new definition of 'export' that excludes services provided between different establishments of the same entity.
NASSCOM's proposal aims to address compliance challenges arising from the revised GST treatment of inter-office service transfers. The body contends that the current framework creates operational difficulties for businesses with multiple establishments.
