Neelam Kothari Opens Up On Govinda's Old Love Confession, Says She Didn't Know He Was Married
Neelam Kothari has responded to actor Govinda's past confession of romantic feelings for her during their on-screen collaboration in the late 1980s. In a recent interview, Neelam said she was too young to fully grasp the situation and was unaware Govinda was married to Sunita Ahuja.
Neelam's husband, actor Samir Soni, also weighed in on the matter, saying he does not dwell on events from decades ago. Samir noted that co-stars Jackie Shroff and Sanjay Dutt were particularly protective of Neelam on film sets, often treating her like a child.
In a 1990 Stardust interview, Govinda had revealed he fell in love with Neelam while engaged to Sunita, even asking his then-fiancée to "become like Neelam."
