Neeraj Chopra deserves appreciation, not criticism over Commonwealth silver: AFI chief

Neeraj Chopra's silver medal at the Commonwealth Games has triggered debate about his current form. However, Adille Sumariwalla, chairman of the AFI selection committee, has pushed back against critics, saying India's greatest athlete should be appreciated rather than scrutinized.
Sumariwalla acknowledged that Chopra, often called the 'Golden Boy', is human and can sometimes win silver. He emphasized that the javelin thrower's return from a lengthy injury layoff deserves recognition rather than censure.
