Chopra finishes second at Lausanne Diamond League as Pathirage wins again

Sri Lanka's Rumesh Tharanga Pathirage defeated Neeraj Chopra by just nine centimetres at the Lausanne Diamond League. Chopra led briefly with a second-round throw of 88.05m, but Pathirage responded with 88.14m to secure victory. This marks Pathirage's third win over Chopra this season.

Chopra claimed the silver medal while Anderson Peters finished third. Despite the loss, the result supports Chopra's chances of qualifying for the Diamond League Final.
