NMMT Bus Conductor Under Inquiry After Couple's Sexual Act Caught on Video
The Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport has initiated internal proceedings against a bus conductor following a viral video showing a couple engaged in a sexual act on the back seat of a moving AC bus. The incident occurred on Sunday evening on a Panvel-to-Kalyan route service.
The conductor faces departmental scrutiny for failing to notice or take action during the journey. An RTI activist brought the matter to light, and the conductor has been issued a notice seeking written explanation for his inaction. A 22-second video, recorded by a motorist who spotted the couple through the bus window during a traffic jam, was shared with senior NMMC officials.
The civic body has not yet filed a police report regarding the incident. The departmental inquiry will determine further disciplinary action against the conductor.
