‘No Mercy For Criminals’: Yogi Adityanath Issues Stern Warning After Ghaziabad Teen Murder Case

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday delivered a strong message on crime and public accountability while referring to the recent killing of a teenager in Ghaziabad, asserting that the state government would not tolerate violence under any circumstances.
Speaking at a public programme in Bijnor, the Chief Minister said incidents involving brutal attacks among acquaintances or friends reflect a worrying social trend and require both strict legal action and greater responsibility from families. He stressed that parents must remain vigilant about the activities and behaviour of their children, warning that negligence could have serious consequences.
Without directly dwelling on political aspects of the case, Adityanath reiterated his government's commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety of ordinary citizens. He said the administration would continue to act firmly against those involved in criminal activities, regardless of their background or influence.
The Chief Minister also underscored the need for society to uphold values of peace and harmony while making it clear that authorities would respond decisively whenever public safety was threatened. He said justice and security remain central priorities of the state government.
His remarks came amid continuing investigations into the murder of 17-year-old Surya in Ghaziabad's Khoda area. Police have already taken action against several accused individuals linked to the case, while authorities continue to pursue further legal proceedings.
Officials recently intensified operations connected to the investigation, with law enforcement agencies examining various aspects of the case. Authorities have also indicated that any illegal properties or constructions found to be connected to criminal activities would face scrutiny under existing laws.
During his address, Adityanath also touched upon cultural and social issues, highlighting the significance of cow protection in Indian society. He referred to recent discussions surrounding the subject and said the animal occupies a special place in the country's cultural and spiritual traditions.
The Chief Minister's comments reflected his government's broader position on law enforcement, emphasizing that criminal activities would be met with firm action while responsible citizenship and family guidance remain essential for maintaining social order.
