Noida International Airport at Jewar begins cargo operations with inaugural flight from Chennai

Noida International Airport at Jewar began cargo operations on Wednesday with its inaugural flight from Chennai. A Boeing 737-800F aircraft operated by Afcom Holdings landed carrying approximately 20 tonnes of mixed cargo including mobile phones, electronics, auto components, and food items.
The aircraft received a water cannon salute upon arrival. The cargo terminal, developed across 87 acres and operated by AISATS, will leverage the airport's strategic connectivity with the Yamuna Expressway to strengthen supply chains across the Delhi-NCR region. Officials stated the facility would enhance Noida's position as a key electronics hub, given that 55 per cent of India's mobile phones are manufactured in the region.
