Odisha awaits Centre's approval to house five rescued orangutans at Nandankanan Zoo

The Odisha government is awaiting approval from the Central Zoo Authority to accommodate five rescued orangutans at Nandankanan Zoo in Bhubaneswar. The animals, which have been rescued, require proper facilities and regulatory clearance before they can be permanently housed at the facility.
Nandankanan Zoo, one of India's premier zoological institutions, is being considered as a potential home for these orangutans pending the necessary permissions from the Central Zoo Authority.
