Om Ka Hari Review: Raghubir Yadav Elevates Predictable Father-Son Drama

Director Harish Vyas's Om Ka Hari treads familiar ground with its tale of a fractured father-son relationship. The story follows Hari Prasad Sharma (Raghubir Yadav), who believes he has six days to live after a suspected heart attack and decides to spend them in Varanasi with his estranged son Om (Anshuman Jha). Their journey unfolds conversations meant to heal old wounds.
Raghubir Yadav's seasoned performance anchors the film, commanding nearly every scene with ease born of years of craft. Anshuman Jha, though well-cast, leaves room for improvement, particularly in emotionally demanding moments. Soni Razdan struggles intermittently with dialogue delivery, while supporting actors Samta Sudiksha and Shivani Tanksale deliver solid turns. The ensemble effort, however, cannot elevate the film's well-trodden narrative territory.
The film joins a long line of father-son dramas like Shakti and Udaan, offering little that feels fresh or memorable. It scores 2.5 stars.
