Oracle's Larry Ellison cancels plan to sell $7.5 billion in stock
Oracle founder and chairman Larry Ellison has cancelled his plan to sell up to 50 million shares worth approximately $7.5 billion. The company stated that no shares have been sold under this strategy, and no further sales are currently planned.
The decision comes even as Oracle exceeded Wall Street expectations in recent quarterly earnings. However, the company's stock has declined this year amid investor concerns about future capital expenditure requirements. Industry analysts warn that a meaningful recovery in cash flow remains some distance away.
