Players must improve consistency, says Padukone after Asian Games dip

Badminton legend Prakash Padukone has emphasized the need for Indian players to demonstrate greater consistency following a notable decline in performance at the recent Asian Games.
India's badminton contingent secured just one medal at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, a sharp drop from the three medals claimed at the previous Hangzhou edition. Padukone attributed this setback to inconsistency among the player roster.
The former champion stressed that competitive athletes must maintain higher standards of performance across tournaments. Improved consistency, he suggested, would be crucial for the team to regain its competitive edge in regional and international badminton competitions.
