PCMC seeks NGT extension to assess internal funds for Pavana cleanup after state aid denial

The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has requested an extension from the National Green Tribunal (NGT) to assess its internal financial capacity for the Pavana River cleanup project. The move comes after the Maharashtra state government declined to provide additional funding for the initiative.

PCMC is now evaluating whether it can mobilize funds from its own resources to carry forward the environmental restoration work on the Pavana, a tributary of the Mula River in the region.
