PNGRB and Oil Ministry launch drive for 50 lakh piped gas connections by March 2027

The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) and the Oil Ministry have launched the National PNG Drive 3.0, targeting 50 lakh new domestic piped natural gas (PNG) connections by March 31, 2027. The initiative seeks to accelerate PNG adoption across India and facilitate the transition of consumers from liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to piped natural gas infrastructure. The drive is expected to expand access to cleaner and more convenient fuel options for households nationwide.
