Delhi Police serve notice on Cockroach Janata Party founder Abhijit Dipake ahead of March

Delhi police deployed over 20 officers at the residence of Cockroach Janata Party founder Abhijit Dipake on Friday, serving him a notice restricting him from participating in a planned march. The notice cited restrictions on assembly at Connaught Place, citing the presence of key markets, hospitals and government buildings, as well as risks of stampede.
During the interaction, Dipake disputed the charges, demanding police show video evidence of him inciting violence on social media—the allegation mentioned in the notice. In an animated exchange captured on video, Dipake challenged the police's authority to issue such orders and questioned the validity of the notice itself.
The CJP had announced a 'Lehr do Tiranga' (wave the tricolour) march at Central Park in Connaught Place scheduled for Friday evening at 5 p.m. However, the New Delhi Municipal Council closed Central Park on 16-17 October. Police deployed over 6,000 personnel and 220 companies of central armed police forces across New Delhi to manage any law and order situation.
