Mumbai Powai residents protest BMC plan to cut through forested area

Residents of Mumbai's Powai locality have mounted a protest against a proposed plan to cut through a forested area. On Friday, more than 500 residents submitted representations to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation opposing the move.

The protest has garnered significant support, with over 4,000 residents signing letters against the proposal. These additional signatures are expected to be submitted to the BMC in the coming days as the residents continue their campaign to preserve the green space.
